Meet Our Team

Rob Skacel, Ph. D.

Rob Skacel, Ph.D.

Dr. Rob Skacel is a licensed psychologist with senior executive experience.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College, and Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Purdue University.  Rob began his career in the field of clinical psychology, splitting his time between patient care and management responsibilities.  Within a few years, he began the transition to business psychology specialization.  He has since held senior leadership positions in sizeable for-profit and non-profit organizations, where his responsibilities focused on performance improvement and organizational development.

Rob founded True Edge Performance Solutions in 2000, and maintained it as a part-time venture for a number of years as he continued to accrue executive experience.  By 2006, True Edge had grown to the point where it required Rob’s full-time attention.  Over the years, Rob has provided services to dozens of leaders and their organizations, in a variety of industry sectors such as manufacturing, professional services, health care, agribusiness, construction, education, non-profit, and trade associations.

In 2004, Rob authored the book, Tailing Mulligan: Mastering the Art of Workplace Communication.   In his free time, Rob enjoys fishing, boating, and spending time with his family.

John Frey, MBA

John Frey, MBA

John Frey’s career has included executive leadership, sales management, and family business leadership roles in for profit, non-profit and family business sectors. Before joining True Edge, John led a statewide agriculture initiative focused on industry development, business management and industry affair priorities. In addition, John has led regional and national teams, with a strong emphasis on business development, organizational structure, personnel training and coaching.

John’s interest and expertise lies in helping organizations and their leaders strengthen structure, enhance systems and disciplines for leadership, team development, communication, and strategy planning. John grew up on a dairy farm and has a passion for agri-business, the food industry supply chain, and family run business.

John is a graduate of Messiah College where he received his B.S. in Business Administration / Marketing and Lebanon Valley College where he received his M.B.A. John is active on the board of Bethany Christian Services and enjoys reading, golf, fly fishing, and anything else which involves spending time with his wife Kathy and their two adult children.

Marita Skacel

Marita Skacel

Marita holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue University.  She is certified to conduct assessments for use in hiring, promotion, team effectiveness and vocational guidance.  Her previous positions include job training specialist, operations manager, event management and professional development specialist.  Over the years, Marita has served community and faith-based organizations in a variety of roles, including a three-year term as board chair for a regional non-profit.  Marita enjoys boating, cooking, and traveling, and spending time with her family.

Amy Dearborn

Amy Dearborn

Amy Dearborn is a passionate educator and leader having had professional experiences in a variety of contexts in south-central Pennsylvania. With an Early Childhood Education background, she has put into practice a hands-on educational philosophy that is learner-centered in her home, classroom, church, and community.

Amy has taught in a pre-school classroom for six years. After spending time at home raising her three children, she has recently returned to the classroom, teaching 3-year old students.

From 1998-2003, Amy directed the Children’s Ministries at LCBC Church, Manheim, PA. As director, Amy restructured the Children’s Ministries programming in a time that saw the Church grow from 1,000 to 5,000 attendees. From philosophy, curriculum development, and policy development to the aesthetic and physical expansion of age-appropriate environments, Amy worked hard to develop a paid staff and volunteer team to deliver an exceptional experience for families from the moment they walked in the doors.

Amy and her husband Philip live in Maytown, PA, with their three children Michaela, Ryan, Jack (and dog Finn!). With an active family, she spends a lot of time cheering on her children at the tennis court and soccer fields. She volunteers within her Donegal community through booster clubs and other school related activities. Amy also enjoys cooking, fitness, reading, and travel.
